Renea Hittle

High school mathematics teacher

Renea Hittle has served as a high school mathematics teacher for 11 years, current with the Springfield (Ohio) City School District. Previously, she taught at Liberty Union High School in Baltimore, Ohio. Hittle also serves as an adjunct faulty member at Ohio University Lancaster, teaching mathematics and mathematics education.

Since 2009, Hittle has participated as an educator for Summer Institute, an annual K-12 STEM program for high school students held at the Ohio Supercomputer Center. She has presented at Teachers Teaching with Technology (T^3), an international conference affiliated with Texas Instruments. She also has presented at eTech and Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics conferences (OCTM) in Ohio. Additionally, she serves as an online tutor for high school and college students in mathematics courses. 

Hittle earned her master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Computer Education in 2008 and her bachelor’s degree in Integrated Mathematics in 2004, both from Ohio University.
