As information security officer, Mark Beadles oversees security, privacy, and data protection activities for OARnet and the Ohio Technology Consortium. Among his other duties, he manages the IAM Ohio Federated Identity program.
Beadles is a member of the Central Ohio Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
In addition to inventing multiple patents in the field of network management, Beadles' previous work has included leadership roles in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Trusted Computing Group (TCG).
A veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Beadles holds a bachelor's degree in Computers and Society from Michigan State University.
